The pelham cheekpiece combines the effect of a snaffle and a double bridle. The bit has one cheekpiece but can be ridden with one or two reins. If you choose to ride with one rein, a pelham strap is needed to connect the bit rings to the rings of the shanks. The longer the shanks, the sharper the effect. The baby pelham has short shanks and therefore is less sharp than the normal pelham. A pelham bit is mainly used with strong horses.
The Inno Sense Flexi Soft bits are made of elastic plastic and are very flexible. There is a flexible metal core in the bit. Due to its flexibility, this is a friendly bit and horses accept this very well. The Inno Sense flexi soft is less suitable for very strong horses.
