The port creates relief for the tongue while the barrel joint relives pinch on the bars, while still allowing for individual lateral aids.
The Dee Ring is very similar in action to the Eggbutt, it will prevent pinching of the lips and gives a slightly more solid feel against the side of the face. It also prevents the bit being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower and some slight poll pressure is introduced.
Bomber bits are made from blue sweet iron which oxidises easily to encourages salivation helps bit acceptance is warm and sweet.
Please note that due to the oxidisation the blue will fade with use.
